Unlike my last two GM vehicles that left me stranded with failed transmissions this little Echo has 298,000 miles and has Never let me down. Oil, tires, brakes and one alternator. That’s it. What’s really crazy is the AC still works. Guess what my next car is going to be ? - 5.0

I bought my 2003 Echo 3 years ago and I've only spent $200ish in repairs in that time. Mine is a 5 speed and it is loads of fun to drive. I've used it to it's fullest, I've even towed a 5x8 trailer with it. - 5.0
It drives like a sports car.

01 5 speed with 545,000 miles just changed the oil and the guy checked the mileage twice to make sure he wasn't seeing things. Bought it in 2016 drove it from Florida to Tennessee then to California. Never heard of an Echo until I bought it. But now I'll never sell it. If you have a chance to get one do it.
